icddr,b is a non-profit international research institute addressing critical global health needs. It is the largest research institute within a developing country, and receives support from governmental, non-governmental (NGO), academic and research institutions throughout the world. icddr,b has the world’s most experienced clinical research and immunological team for evaluating diarrhoeal vaccines in low- and middle-income countries and characterization of natural and vaccine specific immune responses to ETEC and Shigella in endemic region. icddr,b manages a main campus in Dhaka (the main hospital, clinical trial unit, clinical and research laboratories are at this site) and a variety of urban and rural field sites, all of which have been extensively involved in vaccine research, clinical trials and observational studies.
